Unveiling Our Filmmaking Approach: Storytelling, Innovation, and Authenticity - What To Expect on Your Wedding Day

Updated: May 23

"Our filmmaking philosophy is simple; create films you'll want to watch over and over again."

We are so excited that you're considering our award-winning videography to be a part of one of the most exciting and memorable days of your life!

Whether you've already hired us to film your special day (woo!), or you're just shopping around (that's cool too!), we want to give you some insight on how our filmmaking style will enhance the vibes on your wedding day. Here's what you can expect from our award-winning videography team on your wedding day:

Our Style

We like to be a "fly on the wall", capturing the candid moments of your day, without sticking the camera in your face too much. One of my main goals on your wedding day is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. I want you to enjoy your day, not worry about what pose you need to strike for the camera. Of course, there will be moments throughout the day that we do pose or direct you, but our goal is to make those interactions feel as natural and authentic as possible. When you're relaxed, happy, and truly soaking in the moment, it shows, and we all benefit!

Audio

One of the most overlooked and underappreciated of good wedding videography is the ability to capture clean audio. We love to use the audio of your day (vows, toasts, first look, or any other fun moments throughout the day) to drive the narrative of our films and help tell your love story.

Ceremony Audio

Before your ceremony we will plug into every audio source possible (microphones, speakers, podiums, you name it). On top of that, we will put a lapel mic on whomever is wearing a suit and your officiant. We also have microphones on all of our cameras to capture the natural audio as well.

Reception Audio

For your reception we will chat with your band or DJ and plug into their soundboard. This allows us to get clean audio of the microphones that are used for toasts. We also set up backups so you're fully covered!

Between all of these sources we are able to deliver you a beautiful film that will make you feel like you're right there and reliving every moment as it happened.

Lighting

Gone are the days of the video guys with clunky camcorders and bright lights that blind your guests. We do light your reception room, but we do it with professional lights in a way that adds to the ambience, not takes away from it. Proper reception lighting will give your film that certain "je ne sais quoi." You'll be glowing, literally.

Also, If you can find a couple minutes for night portraits, strong recommend (we light those too 😎)

Our Team

For every wedding adventure we bring two videographers to capture your day. I will be your lead videographer, wedding day bff, and calming presence to help make sure everything runs smoothly. We have a close circle of second videographers who share the same vibes, talent and ultimate goal of delivering you the best film ever. Need a tie adjusted? Need help buttoning the back of your dress (crochet hook ftw)? We are here for you!

With all of our video packages offering full day tailored coverage you don't need to sweat about when to have us start or stop filming on your day. We'll be in constant contact with you during your wedding planning process. As your wedding draws closer, we will chat about your timeline, and tailor our video timeline to best fit your needs. Want us to start with prep? You got it! Would you rather have us start later in the day? All good! We'll make sure every essential moment is captured so you can sit back and enjoy your day!
